Areas for owning real estate for non-Qataris
Earlier this month, a decision was issued regarding Law No. 16 of 2018 regulating non-Qatari ownership of real estate in Qatar. This decision is a reflection of the future vision of the State of Qatar and its promotion of the idea of ​​coexistence between different nationalities in the country, as this aspect forms part of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

This law states that non-Qatari people can now own and use real estate in different regions, provided that they first meet the conditions of the Council of Ministers based on the proposal of the Committee to Regulate Non-Qatari Ownership and Use of Real Estate.
Under this decision, both shops and land are now available for purchase by non-Qataris, which is a wonderful move that will certainly revitalize the Qatari economy. The freehold areas include West Bay (Legtaifiya), The Pearl, Al Khor Resort, Al Qassar (administrative region), Al Dafna (administrative region), Onaizah (administrative region), Lusail, Kharaij, Jabal Thalib, and Rawdat Al Jahaniya (investment area).
As for the areas that have been declared freehold for a period of 99 years, they are Musheireb, Fereej Abdul Aziz, New Doha, Old Ghanim, Riffa, Old Al Hitmi, Salta, Fereej Bin Mahmoud 22, Fereej Bin Mahmoud 23, Rawdat Al Khail, Mansoura and Fereej Bin Dirham. Najma, Umm Ghuwailina, Al-Khalifaat, Al-Sad, Al-Mirqab Al-Jadeed, Fareej Al-Nasr, and the Airport area.
